Pada tutorial kali ini, kita coba membuat efek pada sebuah tulisan (text effects) yaitu membuat tulisan dari awan menggunakan Brush Clouds. Sebelum kita melanjutkan membahas langkah-langkah pembuatannya, kita butuh Brush Clouds dan bagi temen-temen yang belum punya silahkan disini atau disini
Langkah 1.
Pertama-tama tentunya kita buka program photoshop kita, kemudian buatlah dokumen baru (File – New | Ctrl+N) dengan 1000×500 pixels dan Resolution 72 pixels/inch. Warnai dengan gradient tool, saya gunakan warna #008ac9 untuk foreground dan #52a6be Background.
Langkah 2.
Sekarang aktifkan Horizontal Type Tool kemudian tulis “AWAN” atau apa saja terserah anda, gunakan Font Arial Black atau font apa saja yang tebal. Letakkan ditengah-tengah kanvas.
Langkah 3.
Buat layer baru (Layer – New – Layer | Shift+Ctrl+N) kasih nama “awan”. Sekarang aktifkan Brush Tool pilih jenis Brush Cloud yang sudah anda downloads diatas. Ukuran Brush dengan diameter 100 – 150 pixels atau disesuaikan dengan huruf.
Sapukan Brush tadi pada bagian tulisan sampai tercover semua. Untuk jenis Brushnya sesuaikan sendiri yang penting terlihat seperti gumpalan awan.
Langkah 4.
Masih pada layer awan, sekarang tekan Ctrl sambil klik layer text (tulisan) pada thumbnail untuk membuat seleksi. Kalau sudah, pilih Select – Inverse (Shift+Ctrl+I) untuk membalik seleksi kemudian tekan tombol Delete untuk menghapus bagian awan yang keluar dari tulisan Awan. Dan nonaktifkan layer tulisan dengan menghilangkan tanda mata (indicate layer visibility).
Langkah 5.
Hapus bagian pinggir tulisan menggunakan Erase Tool dan untuk Brush-nya pilih clouds seperti membuat awan diatas. Sesuaikan opacity-nya.
Perlu diingat dalam melakukan ini, kita harus sabar untuk mendapatkan bentuk awan yang pas dan real.
Langkah 6.
Agar tulisan awan terlihat lebih realistis kita perlu buat background awan. Buat layer baru (Layer – New – Layer | Shift+Ctrl+N), letakkan diatas layer background kemudian pilih Brush Tool lagi dengan diameter yang lebih besar dan jenisnya Clouds Brush, untuk opacity cukup 25%. Sapukan Brush yang sudah kita pilih pada layer yang kita buat tadi. Sekali lagi sesuaikan sendiri bentuk awannya.
Untuk awan pada bagian tulisan yang terasa belum pas, silahkan tambahkan brush lagi dengan ukuran yang pas.
